Terrorist Arrested with Arms and Ammunition in J&K’s Awantipora Ahead of Independence Day. Just a few days ahead of the Independence Day, security forces arrested a terrorist in Pulwama district of J&K. The terrorist, identified as Abdul Majid Shah, was apprehended from Awantipora. Arms and ammunition and other incriminating material were recovered from him. A case has been registered under Arms Act at Awantipora police station and a probe is underway. Shah, a resident of Pattan in Baramulla district, was on his way to meet other terrorists active in the area, according to reports. He was travelling in a car. Shah has reportedly revealed that he is in touch with other terrorists of the area who are planning to strike.
